two methods — try the share button first, fall back to screen record if it fails

once the video is in your camera roll, add it using the steps from add a video from your camera roll. there are two ways to save — try method 1 first, fall back to method 2 if it does not work.

method 1 — the share button

works for most tiktoks, some reels, and most youtube videos.

1. tap share under the video
2. tap save video (or "save to camera roll")
3. open clipbox and add it from your camera roll

method 2 — screen record

works for literally any video on your phone. always with audio.

do not have screen record in control centre yet? open settings → control centre, scroll to "more controls", tap the green + next to screen recording. one-time setup, 20 seconds.

1. swipe down from the top right of your iphone to open control centre
2. tap the ⏺ screen record button. after the 3-second countdown, open the video you want and play it
3. when it ends, swipe back to control centre and tap ⏺ again to stop

the recording is now in your camera roll. trim it in the photos app if needed (cut anything before the video starts and after it ends), then add it to clipbox.
